A TCM perspective on mushroom nutrition for neurodegenerative conditions

Mushrooms belong to a separate and unique kingdom – fungi. When processed carefully, their vegetative part, the mycelium, is able to produce different enzymes which have the unique potential to provide food with extra nutritional value that cannot be obtained from any other food sources.

Zuzana Vančuříková MD is a Czech medical doctor with postgraduate specialisation in paediatrics, which remains the focus of her practice. She has had her own practice since 1996, including TCM, acupuncture, EAV and homeopathy. She is a member of the Czech medical acupuncture society (CLAS CLS JEP). Nowadays she is also considered one of her country’s most renowned lecturers in both TCM herbs and acupuncture, and likes to combine mushroom nutrition and acupuncture.
Karel is a Czech TCM practitioner specialising in both translating and co-authoring teaching materials, particularly on phytotherapy and mushroom nutrition since 1996. He is one of his country’s leading practitioners In the field of mushroom nutrition, as practitioner, lecturer and author.
