De Vere Staverton Estate,

Workshop title

Two treatments that can transform lives

Workshop times

Workshop description

‘Aggressive energy’ and ‘husband/wife’ treatments come out of the five element lineage. Whereas some aspects of five element acupuncture, for example CF diagnosis, take years in which to become reasonably proficient, these two treatment protocols can be learnt quickly. Neither are taught in most TCM colleges.

Practitioners who attend this session will be able to add these treatment protocols into their practice immediately. They are especially useful and effective for patients who are suffering from severe health problems, either physically or psychologically.

We will cover how to diagnose and how to carry out the actual treatments. The session will be predominantly aimed at practitioners who have not studied these particular treatments but will also be useful for practitioners who have received training in these treatments who want to review them.

Speaker biography

Peter Mole has been an acupuncture practitioner in Oxford, since 1978. He studied and worked with JR Worsley until 1992, receiving his master of acupuncture qualification from him in 1984. He has been teaching for 37 years, first in Leamington Spa at the College of Traditional Acupuncture (CTA) and later at the College of Integrated Chinese Medicine (CICM) in Reading, where he is the dean. He is the author of a book for the general public, Acupuncture for Body, Mind and Spirit, and he is co-author, with John and Angela Hicks, of the textbook Five Element Constitutional Acupuncture. He has lectured on five element acupuncture in Europe, the US and Israel. He was a founding council member of the British Acupuncture Council.

Peter’s style of acupuncture is an integration of the five element constitutional style with TCM. He is particularly interested in psychological complaints and physical complaints that have arisen largely due to the internal causes of disease.
