Workshop title

Showcasing acupuncture for your local community:  reports from the 2017 BAcC research grant holders

Workshop times

Saturday 1630 - 1800

Workshop description

BAcC’s latest research grants are aiming to help members establish acupuncture services that are more readily accessible to their local communities. This could be through the NHS or charities or, indeed, through any other means of making traditional acupuncture a more affordable healthcare option. It could be a specialist service, like PTSD for ex-forces personnel, or general, as in GP primary care. These are quick-fire projects designed to produce results in months, rather than years. You will hear about:

  • Description of the practice and practitioner(s); what do they offer and what makes them stand out?
  • Systematic evaluation of the practice outputs and outcomes
  • Planning how the data will be used to increase local uptake of acupuncture.

Practitioners and researchers who were awarded grants in 2017 will also report on the progress and preliminary results from their projects.
